LIFE SKETCH OF FOUNDER
Brahmasri Pennathur Subramania Iyer was born in March, 1860. He was one of the leading solicitors of Madras. In 1890, he became the Commissioner for the Mylapore Division. He thought that the best use he could make of his wealth was to utilize it for the spread of knowledge in the coming generations. With this object in view, in 1899, he made a will to bequeath his properties for the charitable cause of education. The executors of his will, set up the P.S Charities in 1904, for starting P.S High School in 1905.
